Business Development Manager

Job Title: Business Development Manager
Department: Central Management
Reports to: Branch Director

 

Position Overview: The BD Manager efforts to find and win the new business opportunities and projects to the Company and consults on strategies, biding and marketing campaigns. He/she gives recommendations in the devising and implementing of new business plan including communication plans, channels to market, seeking out large projects and contract customers. He/she also participates in strategic management meetings to develop business objectives and goals for the Company.

The BD Manager spends a large amount of time visiting clients and attending networking events.

This job is a constant challenge and requires a number of skills - good business sense and financial planning, marketing skills, strategy development and implementation. When you are dealing with a new business, the job requires a lot of creative thinking to spot new opportunities and to establish rapid growth within the new market place and it’s very satisfying when the development strategy pays off and the results can be clearly seen.

 

Specific duties

  • Identify the new projects, business opportunities, potential investor and target clients
  • Follow up new business opportunities and involve the entire process including but not limited to site inspection, setting up meetings, preparing of plan, presentations and bid document
  • Communicate new product/ service developments to prospective clients
  • Oversee the development of marketing literature
  • Write reports and proposals
  • Provide management with feedback
  • Maintain a good working relationship with existing and new contacts
  • Work closely with CC/Marketing team for all plan & execute promotional activities and corporate presentations
  • Maintain Savills high profile in the professional and business community
  • Ensure all database well maintained and updated
  • Find information and attend all RE events to identify the potential clients and new projects
 

Required Skills and Education

  • Degree, preferably in finance, marketing and business management
  • Great communication and sales skills
  • Having some sales and marketing experience
  • Be the person who is self-confidence, loves networking and enjoys presenting and public speaking
  • Good business sense
  • A deep understanding of marketing principles
  • A positive attitude
  • Negotiation skills
  • Plenty of initiative
  • Must be able to delegate and communicate the goals and objectives of the organization pertaining to business development
  • Must be a strategist and have knowledgeable in all areas of business development
